"Ski Village - Concrete Works: Retaining Walls, Ski Legs Abutments and piers, Plaza building and Building foundations"
The project is in Trojena which is located on the mountain of Jebel al Lawz and rises to altitudes up to 2,600 m above sea level. During the winter season, the Ski Village will become a hotbed of alpine action, providing three months of snow-covered slopes for skiers and snowboarders of all levels. In the summer season, the cool clean air will transform the village into a heaven where any activity is possible, welcoming revelers and thrill-seekers from all walks of life.
The works include the following:
> Provide structural excavation, backfill, compaction, dewatering, rough grading, fine grading, waterproofing, levelling concrete, formwork (as required), curing, and placing of RC foundations and frontal walls to complete the scope of work.
> Concrete retaining walls and ski legs abutments comprising the following:
/ Cast-in-situ and/or precast concrete retaining walls and footings up to 29m heigth with or without micropiles on levelling concrete, including geofoam backfilling, crushed rock and/or mass concrete fill, with or without rock anchors, including drainage piping for retaining walls.
/ Concrete ski legs abutments and piers including, geofoam, with or without wall anchors; height up to 20m
> Concrete works within Plaza building (Zone P) / courtyard envelope comprising the following:
/ Shallow foundations/footings, pads, mat foundations on leveling concrete for the basement.
/ Basement retaining walls.
/ Columns, stairs, elevated waffle / coffer slab for the basement including coordination with other contractors for post-
fixed items.
> Concrete works for all building foundations including the installation of steel structural anchors and readiness to receive the steel structure.
/ Shallow foundations/footings, pads, mat foundations on leveling concrete for the basement.
/ Basement retaining walls.
/ Columns, stairs, elevated waffle / coffer slab for the basement including coordination with other contractors for post-fixed items.
> Concrete works for frontal walls up to 12m height including the installation of DCP rock anchors and rock dowels and the installation of steel reinforcement and one way shutter for stabilization.
> Installation of DCP rock anchors and rock dowel, wire mesh for rock stability, shotecrete including all the required scaling and reprofiling.
> Installation of GEOFOAM backfilling material for retaining walls, piers and abutments.
> Design, Supply and installation of bearings into concrete piers, abutments and retaining walls, until readiness to receive steel structural load. > Supply and installation of hollow core and ASHTO precast girders.
> Design, supply and installation of Gabions walls and MSE walls.
